First popping up in the 1930s this little whiskey cocktail is pretty refreshing. A popular substitute for grenadine in this cocktail is normal old raspberry syrup like you would find in the pancake section of a grocery store. If you don’t have raspberry syrup you can use grenadine but that’s up to you.

Learn how to make a classic Blinker cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Grapefruit Juice

  • 1/3 oz Grenadine

  • 2 oz Rye Whiskey

Directions

  • Combine all ingredients in the shaker. Add ice to the shaker.
  • Vigorously shake till the shaker is ice cold and frosted.
  • Strain into glass to remove ice shards.
