Mayan Mule – A Tequila Variation of the Moscow mule

The tequila variation of the Moscow Mule substituting tequila/mezcal for vodka. While the original has a more clean and refreshing ginger beer and lime taste, in this one the tequila adds a really cool cactus-y taste. If you use a smoky mezcal then you get an even stronger cactus taste with some smoke flavor. Put a little Tajin or chilies spices on top and you’re good to go.

Learn how to make a Mayan Mule.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Lime Juice

  • 2 oz Mezcal

  • 5 oz Ginger Beer

Directions

  • Add ice to the serving glass. Combine all the ingredients except the Ginger Beer in the serving glass.
  • Mix the ingredients to chill.
  • Add the Ginger Beer.
  • Give the drink a couple turns to chill and mix.
