More About This Drink
- Sarsaparilla Flavor Base
- 2 oz High Proof Alcohol
- 0.3 tsp Star Anise Oil (Sassafras Substitute)
- 0.3 tsp Wintergreen Oil
- Sarsaparilla Syrup
- 14 oz Hot Water
- 3 cups Granulated Sugar
- 0.2 tsp Caramel Color
- 0.3 tsp Sarsaparilla Flavor Base
- Sarsaparilla Soda
- 2 oz Sarsaparilla Syrup
- 0.2 tsp Acid Phosphate
- 10 oz Soda Water
In a glass jar, combine a high-proof neutral spirit, star anise oil, and wintergreen oil. Blend the oil and ethanol mixture. Combine white sugar, hot water, and caramel coloring in a large heat resistant mixing bowl. Stir till the sugar is completely dissolved. Add Sarsaparilla flavors to the syrup. To make a drink combine 2 oz (60 mLs) Sarsaparilla Syrup with 10 oz (300 mLs) Soda Water.
