Just like the Whiskey Sour but with gin. The Whiskey Sour, Gin Sour, Santa Cruz Sour, Brandy Sour, etc all are super old and date back to the 1800s. The modern version uses London dry so this is how they were made in the 1930s and later, when London dry came to be.
The older way to make these is with either Old Tom gin or genever, liquors which date before London dry gin.
Gin Sour ingredients:
- 60 mls (2 oz) Genever
- 15 mls (1/2 oz) Simple Syrup
- 20 mls (2/3 oz) Lemon Juice
Combine all ingredients in the shaker. Add ice to the shaker. Vigorously shake till the shaker is ice cold and frosted. Strain into glass to remove ice shards.
ABV = 22%
